Collecting Participation Data
Participation data for your parity charts tells us who and how many have been actively involved in and benefited from your program. You are already collecting much of this data, such as that you collect through ES-237 4-H enrollment data. You can also use other tools / forms such as those posted on our Web site that allow you to collect participation data of educational programs. Recognize that different program delivery methods carry different benefits.
For instance, 4-H club programs offer opportunities that school enrichment programs do not. So, combining participation data for the two programs defeats the purpose of determining if you are offering equal opportunity to the same benefits. Consequently, we ask that separate parity charts be kept for club programs. You may need to collect other data for interim objectives.
