Setting Objectives
To progress toward parity in program delivery, it may be necessary to set objectives that will be carried out through all reasonable efforts to build awareness and access among audiences of under-represented groups. Much of the data you collect related to these efforts will go into your office's civil rights files. Try to set measurable interim objectives. Feel free to consult the civil rights officer for help.
Here are some examples of measurable civil rights objectives:
Meet with contacts in seven social agencies to arrange referrals to the Kitchen Creations classes in order to increase the number of attendees from under-represented groups.
